He was predeceased by: his parents, Christy Hurlbut (Munro) and Clinton Hurlbut. He is survived by: his wife Katherine; his children, James Hurlbut of Middletown, Nancy Nevins of Berlin and Steve Hurlbut (Rohini) of Tolland; his brother Richard Hurlbut (Suzanne) of Griffin, Georgia.; and his grandchildren, Jason Hurlbut (Annelise), Edward Nevins (Kaitlyn), Matthew Nevins (Shay), Nicholas Nevins, Gabrielle Hurlbut, Alyssa Hurlbut and Natalie Hurlbut. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wethersfield Historical Society (to support the Hurlbut-Dunham House) or the Connecticut River Museum, Essex, CT.
