He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bernardi and Virginia Bernardi; and his brother Albert Bernardi. He is survived by: his sister Angela Colandrea (Michael); his wife Dorene Bernardi; his son David Bernardi (Sherry); his grandchildren, Justin and Amanda; his great grandchild Christine Pagano (Robert); Nina Kareliussen (Kevin), Connor and Cole.
