He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene J. Ahearn and Marie D. Ahearn; his wife Eileen Ahearn; his children, Beth Eileen Desmond Ahearn, Michael P. Ahearn and Donald R. Ahearn, Jr.; and his brother Eugene Ahearn.
He is survived by: his children, Doreen Mary O'Rourke (Timothy G. O'Rourke) of Wallingford, Shelby Brook Bisi (Greg Bisi) of Colchester, Jeffrey L. Ahearn (Carol Ahearn) of Portland and Daniel E. Ahearn of Wallingford. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
