It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Carroll Read of Wallingford, Connecticut, who passed away on September 18, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gaylord Read; her parents, Robert Carroll and Mary Carroll (Green); and her brothers, Robert, William and Joseph Carroll.
She is survived by: her son Robert Read (Linda); her grandchildren, Christopher and Lori; her son William Read (Dawn); her grandchildren, Allison, Kelly and Patrick; her son Thomas Read (Donna); her grandsons, Brian and Daniel; her son Gaylord Read (Linda); her grandchildren, Michelle and Steven; her son John Read; her grandchildren, Shawn, Angie and Katie; her daughter Mary Read Sartori (John); and her grandchildren, Johnny and Chrissy. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. (Due to COVID-19, precautions will be followed and masks are required.) Gifts in her memory may be sent to Franciscan Homecare and Hospice Care, 267 Finch Ave, Meriden, CT 06451.
