She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Howard Ackerman; and her parents, Earl Fitzsimons and Corinne Fitzsimons (Lavoie). She is survived by: her sister Donna Jones of Meriden; her sibling's children, Denise Jones of Meriden and Christopher Jones (Mary) of Raynham, MA; her great-nephews, Zachary, Connor, Thomas and Scott; her stepchildren, Mark Ackerman (Laura) of Florida, Scott Ackerman (Molly) of Texas, Brett Ackerman (Leslie) of Florida and Stacey Kenny (John) of Florida; and her stepgrandchildren, Erika, Brittan, Mackenzie, Lilly, Jack, Kendall, Peyton, Carsyn and Parker. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren, niece, nephew and her grandnephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter or to Masonic Charity Foundation of Connecticut-Hospice.
