She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph P. N. DeRoy; her parents, Charles Hamilton and Flora Hamilton; and her siblings, Marjorie, Mary, John and Charles.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph DeRoy (Isabelle) of Florida, James DeRoy (Karyn) of Massachusetts, John DeRoy (Deborah) of North Carolina, Bernadette Smeriglio (Richard) of North Carolina, Michael DeRoy (Catherine) of Farmington and Mary Bimonte (Ronald) of Wallingford; her grandchildren, Richard Smeriglio, Glenna Hamilton DeRoy, J. Cole DeRoy (Rachel), Erin Skinner (Edward), Nicole Soderlund (Eddie) and Theresa Barrile (Tom); her great grandchildren, Elliott, J. Luke DeRoy, Benjamin Smeriglio, Zachary Bimonte, Renee DeRoy, Joelle DeRoy, Rachel Bimonte, John DeRoy and Mairead DeRoy; Roland. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
