He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Gianakos and Catherine Gianakos (Jeschonek); his brothers, Ronald and James Gianakos; and his grandson Tyler.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Gianakos (Daniels); his children, Brooks Gianakos and Jeri; his son-in-law Don Coleman; his son Brady; his daughter-in-law Louise Gianakos; his grandchildren, Justine (Anthony), Casey, Layne and William; his sisters, Caroline "Dolly" Palm (Charles) and Shirley; his sisters-in-law, Myrna and Beverly; and his pet Fluff. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
