He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph P. Cotrona Sr. and Rose Cotrona (Papallo); his son Brian P. Cotrona; and his siblings, Adrienne Cotrona, Jennie Zimmitti, Peter Cotrona and Marion Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Cotrona (Bensenhaver); his sons, Donald K. Cotrona (Sheree) of Wallingford and Alan J. Cotrona (Karyn) of Middlefield; his daughter-in-law Cheryl Cotrona of Wallingford; his grandchildren, D. J. Cotrona, Justin Cotrona, Ashley Gummoe (Todd), Kirsten Cotrona and P. J. Pisani; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Hadley and Reese Gummoe; and his siblings, Doris Zimmitti, Barbara (Robert Olayos) and Richard Cotrona (Janice). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
