He was predeceased by: his daughter Simona Distefano. He is survived by: his wife Nicolanna "Lina" Distefano (Gulino); his son Rosario Distefano; his daughter-in-law Satie Distefano; his children, Alberto Distefano (Raquel Pinto) and Stefania Simonetti; his son-in-law Daniel Simonetti; his grandchildren, Cristian, Alexavier, Isabelle Distefano and Sienna Simonetti; his siblings, Alfonso Distefano (Lidia) and Angela Mirabella (Giovanni); and his parents-in-law, Teresa Gulino (Biagio) and Nunziatina Cosentino (Biagio). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
