He is survived by: his grandson Max; his former wife Claire T. Mills; his children, Robert G. Mills of New Haven, Thomas Mills (T. J.) of New York City, Jane K. Mills of Guilford, CT and John H. Mills of Gotha; and his grandson Maximilian A. Mills-Wren of New York City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
