He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Gianakos and Chrysula Gianakos (Giannakakos). He is survived by: his children, Michael Gianakos of Waterford and Olivia Gianakos of Waterford; his former wife Tracy Gianakos of Groton; and his siblings, Barbara Farnan of Florida, Nicholas Gianakos (Marilyn) of Florida, Peter Gianakos (Freda) of East Lyme, Anne Letsch (Glenn) of California and Connie Clark of Weston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory made be made to St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church.George.
