She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Roy Bernardi; her parents, Ralph Amato and Andronike Amato (Vounatsos); her children, Michael Bernardi (Heather) of Middletown and Michelle Torres (Jose) of Cheshire; her brothers, Frank Amato (Rosalie) of New Haven and Ralph "Chicky" Amato; her grandchildren, Cecilia, Marcelo, Dante, Frank and Joclyn; and her brother John Amato. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
