He is survived by: his son Erik Hanka (Ingrid) of Mansfield; his grandsons, Scott and Noah; his child Laira Hanka Rehbein (Mat) of Vernon; his grandchildren, Brielle and Addyson; his brothers, Harold (Carol) of Stonington and Robert of Minnesota; his stepdaughters, Lisa Rose (Bill) of Chaplin and Lynn Zuffrey (Daniel) of North Carolina; his siblings' children, Ashley, Shawn and Jon Hanka; his friend Dr. Orland Donald (Kim); and his former wife Ligita Giacopassi.
