He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. and Mary E. Bement; his wife Betty Riley Bement; and his siblings, Robert, Elizabeth, Barbara and Francis.
He is survived by: his brother Torch; his daughters, Laura Bement and Sarah Bement (Jeffrey Mingolello); his grandchildren, Nicholas James Saldarini and Erin Kate Saldarini; and his brother James Bement of Harwinton.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the church in his memory.
