It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nina Orine Ricardez of Windham, Connecticut, born in Conway, South Carolina, who passed away on March 28, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, William Melton Barnhill and Margaret Florine Britton Barnhill; her husband Cuitlahuac "Cuit" Ricardez; her son Daniel Kevin Ricardez; and her siblings, Allen Butler Barnhill, Robert Ellerbe Barnhill, W. M. "Dub" Barnhill, Margaret Barnhill Ivey, Geneva Barnhill Hardee and Linda Barnhill Proctor.

She is survived by : her son Melton C. Ricardez of Windham, CT; her grandchildren, Chris Scott and Dawn Marie Ricardez; her great grandchild Mila Marie Castillo; her sisters, Mary Barnhill Prince of Murrells Inlet and Virginia Barnhill Hucks (Charles) of Conway, SC; and her sister-in-law Nena Hair Barnhill of Calabash, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
