He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kandefer and Dorothy Kandefer (Thebarge); and his brother William Kandefer. He is survived by: his daughter Cheri Closson (Matt) of Winsted; his grandsons, Chad and Nick; and his brothers, Hank Kandefer of Torrington, Gary Kandefer of Torrington and Michael Kandefer of Torrington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
