He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Dillon and June Dillon (Brown); and his siblings, Mark Matthew Dillon and Mary Rose Dillon. He is survived by : his wife Marie A. Dillon (English); his children, Richard Dillon, III of Torrington, Angela Dillon and Thomas Dillon (Kendra) of Litchfield; and his siblings, Erina Smith (Brian) of Colebrook, Kevin Dillon (Ellen), David Dillon (Robin) of Winsted and John Dillon (Devin) of Groton. He is also survived by three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
