He was predeceased by : his parents, Aurele Barre and Alice Caliento (Gamache); his son Lewis A. Barre Jr.; and his sister Eva Mae DiDomizio. He is survived by : his wife Patricia J. Barre (Bell); his daughters, Brenda Kimberly (John) of New Milford, Donna Giuffre (Steven) of Bethlehem, Lisa Fraser (Neil) of Bethlehem, Debra Lynn (James) of Oakville, Sandra Higgins (Forrest) of Orrington, ME and Linda Tanuis; and his brother Wayne Caliento (Phyllis). He is also survived by his twenty-three grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Debra Eastwood wrote a sympathy message

“I’m so sorry to hear about Lew. But that being said,I know how much he has suffered in the past year with his disease. I have enjoyed playing music with him threw the years. Enjoy time with his wife Pat and hearing story’s of there lives. May God and Your Angels help the family deal with this loss and the reason for memories is to live in your loved one hearts.
