It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Vincent Swan Jr. of Woodstock, Connecticut, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Elizabeth Swan (Rowe) and John Vincent Swan Sr.; and his brother David W. Swan. He is survived by : his wife Susan Swan (Shaw); his daughters, Elizabeth M. Swan and Allison J. Swan; his siblings, Frederick Swan, Marybeth Bardot (Doug Bardot) and Helen Harris (Richard Harris); his mother-in-law Joyce Shaw; his sister Lesley; and his brother-in-law Robert Goodrich. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home (148 Grove St, Putnam, CT 06260). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (218 Providence St, Putnam, CT 06260). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Grill (37 Putnam Rd, Pomfret, CT 06259).
