She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Harris and Mary M. Harris; her daughter Joyce Christine Whitehurst; and her siblings, Mildred Harris David and Donald Elmore Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Angelyn Whitehurst, Donna Whitehurst, Arlene Whitehurst Cooper (David) and William Whitehurst, III (Carla); and her siblings, Jacob Jerome Harris (Amrizene) and Tassie Harris Hare. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
