She is survived by: her daughter Virginia Hinnant-Thomas (Ronald); her stepchildren, Andre Hinnant, Donnie Anderson (Jeffrey), Veronica Barber (Thomas) and Samuel Hinnant, Jr. (Melvina); and her grandchildren, Amata Anderson (Great Granddaughters Aubrey), Cardice, Rashad Minnis, Kaesaun Minnis, Paris Anderson (Great Grandson Portlan), Brian Moore, Dawn Moore, Mario, Kendra Nettles and William Gatewood.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peace Baptist Church (712 18th St NE, Washington, DC 20002-7297). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
