With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Florine Miller in Washington, District of Columbia, born in Amherst, Virginia, who passed away on February 7, 2021 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Massie and Maggie Quarles Massie; her husband Roy P. Miller; her siblings, Aileen M. Jones, Emma Sarah M. Bryant, Leonard Massie, Sr., Sandford "Bo" Massie, George Robert Massie, Sr. and Norman E. Massie; and her siblings-in-law, Telmarine Massie, Sylvia Massie, Jerlene Massie, Mary E. B. Massie, Thomas "Skinny" Hughes, Jr., Cleveland Jones, Sr., Richard Bryant, Sr. and Robert L. Kirksey.
She is survived by: her sisters, Mabel M. Hughes of Amherst and Shirley Kirksey of Pennsylvania; and her adoptive daughter Octavia H. Hughes. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
