It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iris Royster in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on September 12, 2020, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Junius Roberts and Mabel Chandler Roberts; and her siblings, Lola I. Hall, Gladys M. Raynor, Ilene F. Weaver, Pearl A. Roberts, Leon A. Roberts, Garrison R. Roberts, Vernon E. Roberts, Sr., Ross H. Roberts, Melvys E. Roberts and Chester W. Roberts, Sr..
She is survived by: her former husband Charles J. Royster, Sr.; her husband James L. Royster; her children, Charles J. Royster, Jr., Reginald A. Royster, Sr. (Patricia) and Deborah M. Royster (Robert Malson); her sisters, Elnora V. Branson, Carolyn E. Goode and Patricia A. Rogers; and her son Jeffrey D. Royster. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family members, friends.
