He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hailes and Ellen Hailes; his wife Susan Hailes; and his siblings, Louise Johnson and Roger Hailes.
He is survived by: his sister Geraldine Hailes; his daughter Nichole Morgan; his son-in-law Gabriel Morgan; his grandchildren, Ayanna, Damone, Thaddeus, Gia, Geana and Jabria; his great grandchild Khalani; and his siblings, Donell (Brenda), James Jr., Julian, Edward, Stanley (Jacquie), Larry (Lynn) and Mildred Lacy. He is also survived by loving family members, friends and honorary children with whom he was a father.
Joseph received his Christian foundation at Gethsemane Baptist Church during his early years.
