It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margarita Mallios Ladas of Washington, District of Columbia, born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Peter Mallios and Helen Mallios; her husband Gus Ladas; her children, Andrew Ladas (Paulette) and Eleni Planzos (Sotiris); her grandchildren, Michelle Ladas, Alexander Planzos (Artemis), Joanna Ladas Witt (John) and Matthew Planzos (Jennifer); her great grandchild Sotiris Planzos; and her siblings, George Mallios (Jenny) and Dimitri Mallios (Peggy).
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral Memorial Fund.
