It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nora Banks (Washington, District of Columbia), born in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Junius M. "Duke" Banks; and her brothers, Thomas Edmund, James Robert and John William. She is survived by: her granddaughter Betty; her daughter Nanci Banks; her son-in-law G. Steven Monteiro; her granddaughter Allyn Monteiro; and her brother Edward Harry. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and family friends.
Due to covid-19 restrictions, a small private burial is planned for local family with the intent of hosting a celebration of life memorial service in late spring.
