With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Gillette of Washington, District of Columbia, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on January 13, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Walker Hamner Adams and Marguerite Wood Adams; her grandparents, Richard Hill Adams and Rosalie Hamner Adams; her husband James T. Gillette, Jr.; and her grandson Matthew Tucker Gillette.

She is survived by : her sons, Tommy, James T. Gillette III (Michele) of Jacksonville and Walker Adams Gillette (Becky) of Franklin; her grandsons, Jeffrey Adams Gillette (Victoria) of Jacksonville Beach, Florida and Adam Vaughan Gillette (Mary Margaret) of Quinton, Virginia; and her great grandchildren, James Edward Gillette, Georgia Ann Gillette of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Landon Matthew Gillette and Mary Grace Gillette of Quinton, Virginia.. She is also survived by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins from her father's ten siblings.

Memorial contributions may be made to High Street United Methodist Church or Courtland United Methodist Church.
