He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Shalyce Tyson and Brandon Franklin; his son-in-law Dominique Tyson; his grandchildren, Cameron Tyson and Cassidy Tyson; his godson Anthony Franklin; his siblings, Patricia Yates (Leroy), Granville Franklin Jr., Linda Robinson (Walter), Carol Franklin and Deborah Franklin; his mother-in-law Rosa Lee Jones; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Burton (Hugh), Doris Clark and Ruby White. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
