It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Wallace Barnes in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away at the age of 94, on December 10, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Clarke Barnes and Lillian H. Barnes; his siblings, Oliver Barnes, Edith Mulligan, Harry F. Barnes, Nancy Deyfeter and Audrey Mink; and his great grandchild Kai.
He is survived by: his brother Master Pilot Award; his grandson Eli Barnes; his wife Barbara Hackman Franklin; his children, Thomas O. Barnes, Sr. (Melanie) and Jarre Barnes Betts (Whit) of Bristol, Connecticut.; his grandchildren, Tom Barnes, Jr. (Emily), Joshua Barnes (Emily), Lindsay Wilcox (Max), Elijah Barnes (Amory), Amy Betts and Drew Betts (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Lilly, Anna, Aubrey, Toby, Ashley, Ethan, Oliver, Hadley, Maggie, Parker, Ella, Morgan, Maya and Zachary; and also Tom Barnes. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral for the family will be held, with a public memorial service later.
