While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his father Edward Thompson. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Thompson Wallace; his son Jerry Oliver Thompson, II; and his siblings, Eddie Thompson (Cheryl), Jimmy Thompson, Patty Bower (Norman) and Paula Cunningham (Rick). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Beeson Funeral Home of Newark (2053 Pulaski Hwy, Newark, DE 19702). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at Stjude.org/donat (http://stjude.org) e or the Shriner's Hospital at Donate.shrinerschildrens.org/give (http://donate.shrinerschildrens.org) as they held a special place in Jerry's heart.
