It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard M. Downes of Camden Wyoming, Delaware, born in Georgetown, Delaware, who passed away on February 14, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Martin D. Downes and Ruth M. Downes (Wilson); his wife Pauline Downes; his son Howard A. Downes; his sisters, Barbara Bumgarner and Bonnie Downes; his former life partner Cathlene Wildermuth; and his son-in-law Paul Hays.
He is survived by : his children, Theresa Bare (Jerry) of Wilkesboro, NC, Debra Davis of Wilkesboro, NC, Kathy Hayes of Preston, MD, Tammy Crawford (Guy) of Camden, DE and Keith Downes (Ashleigh) of Snow Hill, MD; his grandsons, Charles Esham of Georgetown, DE and John Jones of Bivalve, MD; his stepsons, Lydon Wildermuth and Padrick Wildermuth; his brother William D. Downes (Betty) of Laurel, DE; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Bush (Charlie) of Georgetown, DE. He is also survived by his numerous grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, masks are required of all persons attending any aspect of the services.
