She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Dean and Dorothy Mae Fossitt; her siblings, Ernest Woodberry, Audrey Dean, Jaunita Short and Josephine Dean; and her son Preston Dean.
She is survived by: her children, Lavern Dean, Kevin Dean (Jeri), Steven Dean (April), Orlando Dean, Adrian Dean (Anna), Bertina Dean, Antoinette Dean (Antwonne), Melissa Emory, Pamela Boyce and Edna Emory; and her siblings, Jerome (Pat), Retha (Melvin), Joyce (Otho) and Agnes (Larry). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Evan W. Smith Funeral Services - Dover (518 S Bay Rd, Dover, DE 19901). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Peoples Cemetery.
