He is survived by: his wife Carol Abbott Spillane; his children, Joan M. Spillane of Dover and James Spillane (Patricia) of Dover; his siblings, Chris Spillane and Maureen Spillane; his grandchildren, Cynthia Gibbs, Rebecca Spillane, Kyle Spillane, Christopher Allen, Maria Allen, Jennifer Connor and James Spillane; and his great grandchild Sam Houston Gibbs.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
