With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruth Charlotte Shomo of Dover, Delaware, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ruth left this world on June 20, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ruby Kirby and Robert W. Kirby Sr.; her siblings, R. W. Kirby Jr., Philip C. Kirby and Mary Helen Kirby; her husband Ronald E. Shomo, Sr.; her children, Ronald Shomo, Jr. and Nannette Wright; her son-in-law Glenn Wright; her grandchildren, Ann Shomo, Alan Shomo (Thora), Samantha Wright (Vicente), Bryan Wright, Jessica Ashby (Mark) and Stephanie Fenton; and her great grandchildren, Marky Ashby and Emily Ruth Shomo.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pippin Funeral Home (119 W Camden Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, DE 19934). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Three Stones Church, 1476 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, DE 19901.
