He was predeceased by: his brother William Berl III; and his granddaughter Andrea Michelle Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Joan Berl (Roman); his children, Richard E. W. Berl, Jr. (Sheree), Sharon Robinson (Jeff), Michael Berl (Trinda), Kenneth Berl (Meghann) and Kimberly Berl; and his sister Marie Ferguson (John). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
