He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clyde Maddox and Ruby Maddox; his wife Eva; his children, Vicki Newsom (Jack) and Bryan Keith Maddox (Toni); his sister Necye McCrory of Austin; his niece Lauralee Courtney; his cousin Wilma Shipley of Burnet, Texas.; his stepchildren, Kristi Wile (Daniel), Rodney Bosh (Janine), Daniel Bosh (Christina) and Sherry Thompson; his grandchildren, Brooke, Cole, Cade, Kaitlin, Mark, Michael, Matthew, Aaron, Rachel, Rebecca, Ashley, Tarah, Tyler, Tarin, Jackie and Jason; and his great grandchildren, Peyton, Haydon, Rhett, Savannah, Presley, Gavin, Oscar, Lucy, Maggie, Frankie, Riley, Jayce and Logan.
