It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura M. Lian-Lesperance (Selbyville, Delaware), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Laura departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Laura may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Laura leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund Lian and Nancy Lian (Allen). She is survived by: her husband Wayne Lesperance; her daughter Alice Lesperance (Taylor); her stepchildren, Caroline Gingery (Steven) and Wayne Lesperance Jr. (Stephanie); her siblings, Roger Lian and Michelle Lian Kupfer; and her granddaughters, Leia Gingery and Grace Lesperance.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home (19 S Main St, Selbyville, DE 19975). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery (26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966).
