It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Eugenia G Zavodny of Selbyville, Delaware, who passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Eugene Gardiner and Mary Ellen Gardiner (Smith); her siblings, Dorothy Gardiner Allen and E. Hayes Gardiner; and her niece Michelle Zavodny Odle.
She is survived by: her husband Michael J. Zavodny; her sons, Michael J. Zavodny Jr. of Lutherville, MD and Matthew Austin Zavodny (Brittany) of Selbyville, DE; her sister Ann Gardiner-Cobb; and her nieces and nephews, Kimberly Ross, Cecelia Hagan, Kathleen Allen, Richard Gardiner, Thomas Gardiner, C. Bradley Castoro, Daniel Castoro, Richard Zavodny and Aimee Yardley.
