She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas Joe and Betty Lemon (Mowery); her husband Otto Claxton; her son Joseph Hartley; and her sisters, Brenda Jo Harfield and Deborah Earley.

She is survived by: her children, Angela Riddell (Norman), Suzanne Dreger (David) and Jeremy Hartley; her sister Peggy D'Andrea; and her granddaughter Leah Riddell Webb.
