He was predeceased by: his son Thomas Paul; his parents, Richard Paul Hosier, Sr. and Elma Launa Hosier; and his siblings, Sylvia Sue Koons and Donald Martin Hosier.

He is survived by: his wife Tommie; his children, Teresa Hale (James) and Richard P Hosier, III (Suzette); his grandsons, Richard P. Hosier, IV and Joshua A. Hosier (Briana); and his siblings-in-law, Barbara and Jerry McNutt.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the West Orlando Baptist Church (1006 E Crown Point Rd, Ocoee, FL 34761). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home (400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734).
