He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Fred and Hazel Guerndt (Overstreet); and his wife Myrtis Smith Guerndt. He is survived by: his children, Charles Guerndt (Amy) and Karla Dawson (Gary); his sister Cheryl Dunning (John); his grandchildren, Mitchell Guerndt (Casey), Tyler Dawson, Roxanne Guerndt and Oliva Vanderpool (Hunter); and his great grandchild Carter Guerndt.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (100 N Lake Ave, Avon Park, FL 33825). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
