He was predeceased by: his mother Violet "Sue" Sumner. He is survived by: his wife Sue Sumner; his children, Gary W. Sumner, Jr., David W. Sumner and Kathleen Aldana (Elvis); his father Walter Sumner; and his sisters, Gloria Reda and Karen Justice.
