He was predeceased by : his parents, Sam Alford and Bessie Alford; his wife Hilda Clemmons Alford; and his siblings, James, Joe Alford, Bonnie Bailey, Thelma Whitfield, Mildred Cayson Peck, Velma Lamee and Vida Sawyer.

He is survived by : his children, Jonathan Alford of Blountstown and Juanice Sanders of Blountstown; his grandchildren, Casey and Bailey Johnson; and his sister Betty Watson of Tallahassee.
