He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kearns and Theresa Kearns (Boyle); his son Eric S. Kearns; and his brother Steven Kearns. He is survived by: his wife Denise T. Arrington; his children, Michelle Edinger (David) of Hedgesville, WV, James P. Kearns, III (Kristen Smith) of Ewing, NJ, Daniel M. Kearns of Hedgesville, WV., Brian J. Kearns of Hedgesville, WV. and Matthew E. Kearns of Hedgesville, WV.; and his grandchildren, Eric Kearns, Hailie Kearns and David Edinger. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Leo Catholic Church (28290 Beaumont Rd, Bonita Springs, FL 34134).
