We are sad to announce that on June 4, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Lucy M. Marckel of Bradenton, Florida. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Erma Rulman and Harold Rulman; her former husband Jerry Weaver; her husband Fred Marckel; and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Marckel Dallape, Joyce Marckel Mohr and Marilyn Marckel Ryan.
She is survived by: her daughter Ann Shevin (Scott) of Bradenton, Florida; her grandsons, Mark Shevin of Raleigh and Ryan Shevin of Chicago, Illinois; her stepchildren, Linda Marckel (Guy Lammers), Ron Marckel (Cheryl), Tom Marckel (Cinda), Gary Marckel (Janette) and Ken Marckel; and her siblings-in-law, Joan Palmer of Littleton and John Mohr of Fernandino Beach, Florida.. She is also survived by eleven step-grandchildren and fourteen step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Catholic Church (510 Jackson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512).
Memorial contributions in Lucy's honor may be made to St. John Catholic Church, Holy Cross Catholic School, DASH, the Defiance Area Foundation, or Defiance College.
