He was predeceased by : his parents, Elizabeth Rost and Emil Rost; and his brothers, Gerald, Harry and Emil.

He is survived by : his wife Marie Rost (Damian); his daughters, Renae Gregorie (Rost), Astina Jones (Rost), Maria Rublee (Rost) and Jessica J Rost; his grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew, Jonathan (JR), Annette and River; his great grandchildren, Alyssa and Jayce; and his brothers, George Rost (Annamay), Wilston Rost and James Rost (Joan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, his funeral is being held privately.
