He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Hartkopf and Lumora W. Hartkopf; and his sister Elizabeth McDuffie (Hartkopf). He is survived by: his wife Isabella W. Hartkopf; his stepchildren, Michelle Norris, Lloyd Norris and Ruby McGeehan; his daughters, Jill Hartkopf and Jacqueline Hartkopf Arnold; his grandchildren, Jennifer Munger (Jenny), Steven Munger, Matthew Arnold, Julianne Arnold, Kevin McGeehan, Ruby Spargo (McGeehan) and Lloyd McGeehan; and his great grandchildren, Kevin J. McGeehan and Sophi Spargo.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
