He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Arlene Kara; his children, John P. (Jennifer Kara), Christopher G. Kara of Brooksville, Florida and Tracy A. Mercer of Tampa, Florida; and his sister-in-law Janice Kara of Lorain, Ohio. He was also cherished by five grandchildren.
