She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Welch and Henry Welch; her former husbands, Bishop Archie Brass Sr. and Archie "Woody" Woodard; her husband Donald Young; her children, Connie Brass Dodd and Jody Lynn Woodard; her grandsons, Charles "Chuck" Humfleet, Michael Brass and Jacob Langworthy; her great great grandchild Delsin Puckett; and her siblings, Marion "Sissy" Budowski and Albert Welch.
She is survived by: her children, Leo Brass (Ann) of Homosassa, FL, Henry Brass (Shelia) of Brooksville, FL, Bishop Brass Jr. of Miami, FL and Melanie Langworthy (Alan) of Brooksville, FL; and her stepchildren, Clyde Woodard (Debbie) of Burlington, NC, Erman Woodard of Sacramento, CA and Misti Humfleet (Danny) of Live Oak, FL. She is also survived by grandchildren, 52+ great-grandchildren, and 18+ great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Merritt Funeral Home (2 S Lemon Ave, Brooksville, FL 34601).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Baptist Church.
