He is survived by: his wife Mary Smith; his sons, Scott Smith (Pamela), Michael Smith (Cindy Gonzales), Edward Smith III and Jerame Bowman; and his sister Patricia Smith Cavanaugh. He is also survived by his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
